The 16th Annual Public Sector Property & Asset Management Conference 2026 will gather South Africa’s foremost practitioners, policymakers, infrastructure custodians, and real estate specialists to examine the next stage of public-sector asset governance. Building on the outcomes of the 2025 conference, this year’s event emphasises digital transformation, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable real estate portfolios that maximise public value.
Public institutions across national, provincial, and local governments continue to address ageing infrastructure, increasing maintenance backlogs, outdated asset registers, fragmented data, limited budgets, and rising scrutiny from regulators and the Auditor-General. The 2026 programme responds directly to these issues with a proactive agenda focused on digital foundations (BIM, GIS, IoT, and digital twins), resilience planning, renewable energy integration, predictive maintenance, precinct development, heritage asset stewardship, disposal optimisation, governance reform, and new revenue models.
With contributions from experienced asset managers, engineers, valuers, urban planners, academics, audit specialists, digital solutions providers, and property development leaders, this conference will provide the practical tools, strategies, and innovations needed to modernise South Africa’s public property landscape and unlock long-term socio-economic value.
We promote and create opportunities for professionalism in the
development and management of sustainable energy. We create a total
continuous learning experience for delegates. We serve!
