The Construction, Engineering and Public Works Inspection Workshop is aimed at improving inspectors’ skills, techniques, reporting and data collection systems using latest technologies. The programme aims to address inspection issues in public works despite the unavailability of work tools, low morale, budget constraints, long supply chain management processes and a lack of skilled personnel. The objective of the programme is to provide crucial information needed by inspectors to carry out their duties skilfully.We are taking public works inspection to the highest level this year by bringing you the latest developments in line with international standards. This is an opportunity to improve inspection by learning about basic and advanced engineering principles, construction materials and methods, and inspection techniques.
This programme has been approved as a University of Cape Town short course for 2023,according to university policy. The participants who attend the course will receive a University of Cape Town certificate.
